We will be accepting students from the minimum age of 12 and up. If you or your child are under 12, you must submit a video of your playing. Contact us here if you have any questions. Students will be placed with other students of similar age or playing level.
Once applicants are placed, they will be sent link to their personal page where they will receive more information and music.

General Information
On Monday through Friday, Salina Summer Strings will begin with the Ensemble Demo Class in the morning starting at 9:15am. Smaller classes coachings and rehearsals start at 10:15am. Lunch break will be at 12:00pm. Coachings and rehearsals will continue again at 12:45pm. Tuesday through Friday, there will be a Masterclass at the end of the day at 2:00pm. Performances will be held on Saturday.
Fees for Participants
Base Fee: $350.00
Scholarships based on Need & Merit may be available to students who apply to the camp. We are able to offer these through anonymous donations. Funds may be limited so please send in your application early. Go here for more information.
The Base Fee includes:
- 5 hours of private ensemble coaching
- 1-5 hours of chamber music concepts coaching
- 5 hours of ensemble demo class
- 5 hours of masterclass attendance
- 4-9 hours of supervised rehearsal time depending on group level
- A minimum of one Masterclass performance
- A final performance.
Additional Options:
Private instruction fees for after camp hours:
- $25.00 for a 30 minute lesson
- $35.00 for a 45 minute lesson
- $45.00 for a 60 minute lesson
